Dr. Norman Kew is a licensed Podiatrist with over 25 years of clinical experience. He previously ran a successful practice in Wasaga Beach, Ontario, before relocating to Nova Scotia. Since 2021, Dr. Kew has been practicing part time in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, and has recently joined Island Orthotics.

He completed the Chiropody program at the Michener Institute of Applied Health Sciences and has built a long-standing career focused on comprehensive, patient-centered foot and lower limb care.

Dr. Kew provides assessment and treatment for a wide range of foot and nail conditions, including diabetic foot care, wound management, biomechanical concerns, and minor surgical procedures, along with custom functional foot orthotics.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Kew enjoys photography, flying, fishing, and travelling, and is always looking for time outdoors whenever possible.

Vanessa Lavoie, CO(c), is a Certified Orthotist with over 15 years of experience helping individuals improve mobility and quality of life. A member in good standing with Orthotics Prosthetics Canada (OPC), she graduated with distinction in 2009 and has remained actively involved in her profession, serving as an examiner and contributing to multiple OPC committees and educational events.

Vanessa has practiced across the Maritimes, providing bilingual care in Charlottetown, Moncton, and Saint John. She managed an orthotics clinic in Charlottetown for over a decade before joining the Saint John Regional Hospital as Supervisor and primary clinician of the orthotics department.

Her clinical expertise includes sports medicine, foot orthotics, pediatric care, scoliosis management, and helmet therapy for plagiocephaly. She has extensive experience treating a wide range of neuromuscular and complex conditions and specializes in gait analysis to optimize patient outcomes. Vanessa also has advanced fabrication experience with a variety of orthotic devices, including custom and complex bracing systems.

She is excited to bring her expertise home to Prince Edward Island. Outside of work, Vanessa enjoys gardening, painting, exploring nature, and spending time with her family.
